VACANCY NOTICE
To obtain the service of Electrical I Mechanical / Civil Technical Officers on the daily pay basis to Colombo Municipal Council

Applications are called hereby to obtain the services of Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Technical Officers on the daily pay basis to Colombo Municipal Council.

The Applications should be sent under registered post addressed to Municipal Secretary, Colombo Municipal Council, Town Hall, Colombo 07 to reach before 30.12.2022. 1. Post Electrical /Mechanical / Civil Technical Officers

(On the basis of Procurement of work)

2. Salary scale Rs. 2,900.00 per day ( maximum 30×2,900 =

87,000/-)

3. Physical Fitness Should be with sufficient physical & mental well

being to perform duties of the post.

4. Professional qualifications:

(i) Successful completion of National Diploma in Technology offered by University of Moratuwa or Hardy Advanced Technological Institute, Ampara or National Diploma in Engineering Science offered by National Apprentice & Technical Training Authority or Higher National Diploma in Engineering offered by Ministry of Education & Higher Education.

or

(ii) Diploma in Technology (Civil) offered by the Open University of Sri Lanka

or

(iii) Shall have completed Part 1 of the Engineering Examination held by the Sri Lanka Institute of Engineers

or

(iv) Shall have completed NVQ Level 05or above relevant to the field

or

(v) Shall have obtained other technical qualifications recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission as equivalent in all respects to the above technical qualifications.

or

(vi) Retired officer in the Government Service / Provincial Government Service in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Civil Technical Service. (Age below 65 on 31/12/2022)

5. Other Qualification :

(i) Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka

(ii) Should have an excellent character

6. Recruitment procedure:

Qualified Officers will be recruited subject to the following conditions.

1. Service will be obtained after an interview.

2. Minimum 08 hours service period (Day /Night) per day.

3. Should engage in duties full time

4. Payments will be given Rs.2, 900/- pay day. Maximum of Rs.87,000.00 per person for one month (30 days) including weekends and other Government holidays.

5. Depend on the works load, Saturdays Sundays and Government holidays should be worked subject to the above said daily payments.

The final decision on obtaining the relevant services rests with the Municipal Commissioner of Colombo Municipal Council.
