Ministry of Plantation Industries Applications are invited from citizens of Sri Lanka to fill the following vacancy of the Palmyrah Development Board. 1. Post: Deputy General Manager (01 post) Qualifications: External Recruitment:: A Bachelor’s Degree recognized by the University Grants Commission on Management/ Science/ Agriculture/ Public Administration/ Business Administration and A post graduate degree qualification in the relevant field or Associate Membership of a recognized professional chartered Institute, which is relevant to the subject area of the post and Minimum of 15 years’ of experience at a post in “Managerial Level” in a Corporation, Board or a reputed Mercantile Establishment. Internal Recruitment Having obtained the qualifications required by the external candidates above. Completion of minimum five (05) years satisfactory service in Grade I in a post of Manager (MM-1 -1) category in the subject area relevant to the post. Age: Should be not less than 35 years and not more than 55 years of age. The upper age limit does not apply to internal candidates. Salary Category: HM 1 -1 Salary Scale : Rs. 80,295/- (2,270 X 15) – 114,345/- 2. Post of Internal Auditor MM 1-1 (01 post) Qualifications: External Recruitment: Shall have obtained a bachelor’s degree recognized by the University Grants Commission in Public Administration/ Financial Business Administration/ Management/ Agriculture/ Science/ law and a post qualifying experience of 03 years at a Corporation, Board or a reputed Mercantile Establishment. Internal Recruitment Shall have completed at least a 05 years of satisfactory period of service in a Grade I post belonging to Junior Management Category in the field relevant to the post. Age: Candidates should be not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years of age. The upper age limit does not apply to internal candidates. Salary Category: MM 1 -1 Salary Scale : 2016 Rs. (53,175-10 X 1,375-15X 1,910-95,575/-) General • Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka • Every applicant should be physically and mentally fit to discharge the duties of the post well and to serve in any part of the island. • Should be of an excellent moral character. • Method of Recruitment: Through a structured interview.
