We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Fund Accountant

In this role, you will:

  • Ensuring that the team is able to prepare Financial Statements as mentioned above, in accordance with legal requirements and relevant accounting standards for the respective country, i.e. SFC, IFRS or Local GAAPs as applicable and within strict timelines.
  • Providing technical knowledge and support to the team in the production work. Should be able to engage in preparation of Financial Statements.
  • Reviewing the Financial Statements as mentioned above and ensuring that they are of highest quality for the clients and auditors and provided to the Jurisdiction within agreed timelines. Ensure that no terms of the PLA are breached in any way.
  • Team management that will involve motivating, guiding and educating the team, ensuring that they are updated and are always ready to take on new challenges.
  • Drive process efficiencies and streamlining initiatives.
  • Ability to understand client and jurisdiction requirements and conform to them for all deliverables
  • Analyze MI data collated by the team on regular basis to detect trends and suggesting on improvements
  • Ability to work closely with peers and colleagues in a converged environment. Adept at teamwork. Ensure positive relationships are built and maintained with all.
  • Support the Manager in the process and to work in perfect harmony to ensure service level excellence.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Qualified or Partially Qualified in ACA/ CIMA/ACCA/ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in Accounting / Finance and Auditing Field
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge in accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Demonstrate reasonable understanding of Alternative/Traditional investment industry and knowledgeable in various derivative instruments such as options, swaps, forwards and corporate actions.
  • Expertise in preparation of financial statements (Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Notes etc as mentioned above.
  • Demonstrate ability to identify and resolve complex fund issues.
  • Prior experience in being an SME / leading Operations teams (desirable)
  • Evidence of success in a similar development role and relevant supervisory practical knowledge
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good team player and a good eye for detail
