POST OF SENIOR RESEARCHER Ike BCIS is in the process of expanding its research/academic programs in International Relations and related subjects and therefore, is looking for an experienced, qualified and conscientious researcher willing to contribute to the advancement of the institution. In this light, applications are now called for the Post of Senior Researcher. Job Profile • Develop IR related research concepts/ projects. • Lead the research team and be responsible for timely research project deliverables. • Carry out assigned research projects and work in coordination with the rest of the team. • Produce analytical reports on areas related to International Relations and develop BCIS’ areas of research interests. • Carry out qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis when necessary. • Coordinate ongoing new initiatives and liaise with stakeholders. • Supervise and mentor junior researchers. Qualifications and Skills • A Masters’ qualification in International Relations or Political Science (or related Social Sciences) from a recognized local or foreign University. A PhD is also advantageous. • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional work experience. • Excellent communication, analytical and writing skills in English with proficiency in IT • Networking skills and links with think-tanks and related stakeholder organizations /development partners in Sri Lanka and abroad. • Passionate, innovative and enthusiastic team player. • Age band : Below 30 to 45 years An attractive remuneration package inclusive of other fringe benefits commensurate with the position is on offer to the selected candidate.
